Procurement Specialist with Italian

About the role

ABB is looking for a Procurement Specialist who is fluent in English and Italian to support its European Operation Center. The role involves managing end‑to‑end purchasing processes, ensuring compliance with ABB standards, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full PR‑to‑PO cycle for direct and indirect procurement in SAP, ensuring timely order processing.
• Monitor open purchase orders, follow up on confirmations, goods receipts and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement reports, material master data and SAP records in line with ABB standards.
• Execute purchasing and logistics changes, addressing cost, quality and delivery issues.
• Support supplier lifecycle activities, including registration, qualification and first‑level escalation.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure transparent procurement operations.

Required profile

• Fluent in business English and Italian (B2/C1 level) – written and spoken.
• Proven experience in operational procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP; experience with SAP Ariba is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Customer‑service mindset with proactive communication.
