R&D Support Engineer (Student Position)

About the role

ABB's Brno Technology Center is looking for a student to join the R&D team supporting low‑voltage switchgear development. The role combines hands‑on CAD work with documentation support and offers a pathway to a full‑time position after graduation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of 3D and 2D documentation for low‑voltage switchgear projects.
• Prepare accompanying project documents, including post‑processing and bill of materials.
• Support existing product maintenance from a CAD perspective.

Required profile

• Enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of a Mechanical or Electrical engineering program.
• Willingness to commit to regular on‑site attendance (minimum twice a week).
• Responsible work attitude and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD for 3D modeling, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of English.
