Senior Accountant – Romanian Speaking

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who is fluent in Romanian to manage the full accounting agenda of our Romanian entity. You will work independently within an international company, ensuring compliance with local regulations while supporting a stable, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for the Romanian entity, including monthly and annual financial statements, audit documentation, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit Romanian tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax) and handle statutory reporting such as SAF‑T, e‑invoicing and future Intrastat reporting.
• Process supplier invoices, post bank statements, and manage accounts receivable/payable balances, including offsets.
• Monitor changes in Romanian accounting and tax legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting with solid knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Fluency in Romanian; basic to intermediate Czech and/or English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of M3 (Movex) is an advantage.
