Senior Consultant - Technology Consulting, Financial Sector

About the role

PwC Technology Consulting in Prague is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Financial Services practice, led by Petr Chadima. You will co-lead technology transformation projects for banks and financial institutions, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting the full project lifecycle from requirements analysis and solution design to testing, implementation and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Co-lead projects across the full lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to testing, implementation and change management.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Support technology-focused transformation initiatives in banking and financial services.
• Coordinate project teams and mentor junior colleagues.
• Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements and help shape solution proposals.
• Contribute to project planning, governance and delivery management.
• Identify process improvement and innovation opportunities.
• Take part in business development, including pre-sales, proposal preparation and upselling.
• Collaborate with local and international PwC teams on cross-border engagements.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience in consulting, financial services, fintech or technology advisory.
• Proven experience delivering projects with a strong technology component.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and delivery practices.
• Solid knowledge of banking and financial services business processes.
• Fluent English and Czech or Slovak.
• An advantage: experience in an international consulting environment, knowledge of digital transformation, core banking, payments or fintech, and experience coordinating teams or mentoring juniors.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Project management and stakeholder management.
• Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving.
