Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

Wabtec's Plzeň subsidiary, FAIVELEY TRANSPORT CZECH a.s., is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join its stable finance department of six people. You will work closely with the main accountant and colleagues across the organisation, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and taking part in key accounting and financial processes within the international Wabtec group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and record fixed assets and carry out asset inventory
• Record internal accounting documents and perform monthly and annual closing operations
• Take part in internal and external audits and prepare reporting data for the group
• Check accounting processes, propose improvements and work with finance, controlling and other departments

Required profile

• At least five years of experience as a financial accountant
• Secondary education in economics
• Good knowledge of Czech accounting and tax rules, and experience with financial statements and audits
• English at least at A2 level for written communication
• Careful, independent and responsible, with initiative and improvement suggestions

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office, especially Excel
