Senior Financial Controller - Transition & Separation Projects (Freelance)

About the role

D-ploy, an IT and engineering solutions company operating across EMEA and the USA, is looking for a Senior Financial Controller to support its key projects designing innovation tools, training and experiences. The role covers accounting and controlling for IT separation projects and lasts initially until the end of May 2027, with an expected extension; only a freelance form of cooperation is available.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting and controlling activities for IT separation projects
• Review project charters and ensure alignment with accounting standards
• Execute the standard project controlling process and prepare monthly reporting packages on separation activities
• Manage accounting and controlling responsibilities tied to transition service agreements
• Calculate and process invoices in line with contract terms, reconcile records across books, invoices and cash positions, and adjust invoicing values based on contract amendments
• Recharge relevant non-IT business units and prepare payment forecasts reflecting contractual changes
• Prepare journal entries for the monthly close and perform monthly reconciliations so service fees are correctly booked
• Adhere to monthly service delivery schedules and deadlines

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (memos, conclusions, slides)
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and experience executing financial controls
• Proven ability to work in complex corporate environments with multiple stakeholders
• Candidates must declare a criminal record extract not older than three months

Required skills

• SAP experience is an advantage
• Previous experience with similar projects or in pharmaceutical industry environments is a plus
