Senior QA Engineer – Test Automation & Platform Quality

About the role

At Cloudera, we empower people to transform complex data into clear insights. As a Senior QA Engineer for the Taikun platform, you will own platform quality across deployed Kubernetes clusters, APIs, and the user interface, expanding automated testing frameworks and performing exploratory testing as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for UI, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Use Python, Playwright, and other tools to expand end‑to‑end test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing for features not yet covered by automation.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and report issues, providing detailed feedback to engineering.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and document test cases and strategies.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant QA experience with strong knowledge of methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Python or Playwright for end‑to‑end testing.
• Experience implementing test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Linux command‑line usage and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective collaboration and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
