Senior SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

Join CGI's SAP Platform Operations team to support global clients in keeping their SAP landscapes secure, available, and running smoothly across on‑premise, hyperscaler, and RISE with SAP environments. This senior position focuses on modern SAP Basis administration, cloud migrations, and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Independently operate and administer SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA and classic NetWeaver landscapes for international clients, guiding junior colleagues.
• Resolve non‑standard incidents, requests and changes on SAP Basis level, performing root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Participate in S/4HANA conversions, release upgrades and migrations to Azure, AWS, GCP or RISE with SAP.
• Configure and develop monitoring tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, Focused Run, Solution Manager and Avantra/Xandria.
• Automate recurring Basis tasks using shell/PowerShell, Python, Ansible and SAP Landscape Management.
• Ensure platform security and compliance through SAP Security Notes, patching, system hardening, certificates, SSO and identity integration.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SAP Basis administration in complex, multi‑tenant environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
• Willingness to continuously develop technical and soft skills and pursue certifications.
