Senior SOC Analyst

About the role

ABB is looking for an enthusiastic Senior SOC Analyst to join its Cyber Security team in Ostrava. You will investigate security incidents affecting customer OT systems, perform forensic analysis, and help improve the SOC’s detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents on OT systems, including forensic examination and log analysis.
• Identify root causes, assess impact, and provide detailed incident reports while maintaining confidentiality.
• Work with incident response teams to contain and resolve incidents, minimizing operational disruption.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence to understand adversary tactics and enhance detection mechanisms.
• Create rules and automations to improve SOC KPIs and reduce false positives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
• Experience with forensic tools and techniques in OT environments.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical findings confidentially.
