Senior Solution Architect – IAM Platform

About the role

The Senior Solution Architect will define the technical vision and roadmap for Thales’ next‑generation Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform. You will lead the design of secure, scalable, developer‑friendly identity capabilities such as Zero‑Trust access, password‑less authentication and AI‑driven threat detection. The role requires close collaboration with product, engineering and stakeholder teams to align on a cohesive architectural strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product management and leadership to shape technical direction and future of the IAM solution.
• Research industry trends and recommend strategic architectural approaches.
• Architect and develop scalable software using repeatable methodologies and guide teams in building reliable deployments.
• Mentor architects and developers, review designs and code for alignment with patterns and frameworks.
• Produce clear documentation, best practices and architectural guidance for stakeholders.
• Deliver complex integrations and partner engagements with minimal direction.

Required profile

• Strong communicator with proven leadership abilities and the capacity to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated thought‑leadership through speaking, writing or community involvement.
• Excellent debugging skills and comfort solving complex, multi‑layered problems.

Required skills

• Deep experience with Identity & Access Management platforms.
• Proficiency in .NET and/or Java development.
• Microservices architecture, REST, JSON, SOAP and modern integration patterns.
• Front‑end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• NoSQL and SQL databases, including Elasticsearch.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Event‑driven messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS).
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns and UML.
