Systems Engineer I – Flight Controls (Anthem)

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer I to join the Flight Systems – Anthem team. You will develop and test Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS), contributing to functions such as Flight Guidance, Autothrottle, Autopilot, Trims, and Yaw Damper. The product will serve Business, Regional, Urban Air Mobility, and General Aviation customers, offering growth alongside new product development and an experienced team. Early‑career professionals or fresh graduates with system or aerospace engineering experience are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automatic flight control systems to meet project and customer requirements.
• Perform model‑based development using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Conduct validation, verification, and testing to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware and software components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Industrial Automation.
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
• Knowledge of a scripting language, preferably Python.
• Previous experience (internship, part‑time job, or thesis) in systems engineering, verification, model‑based design, or requirements management.
• Basic understanding of aircraft/avionics functions and design.
• Fluent English communication skills.
