Tax & Statutory Accounting Manager

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Tax & Statutory Accounting Manager to lead end‑to‑end tax accounting, statutory reporting and audit activities for its Czech and Slovak entities. You will ensure compliance with local regulations, IFRS and corporate tax legislation while delivering accurate financial statements and tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Own calculation, accounting and reporting of current and deferred income tax.
• Prepare and file corporate income tax, VAT and other statutory tax returns on time.
• Lead statutory accounting adjustments, monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Coordinate statutory audits, act as primary contact for external auditors and manage audit findings.
• Maintain robust internal controls, perform reconciliations and compliance assessments.
• Partner with Finance teams, Shared Service Centers and external advisors on tax and accounting matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in statutory accounting, tax accounting, financial reporting and audit.
• Deep knowledge of Czech and Slovak statutory accounting and tax regulations.
• Proven experience preparing statutory financial statements and leading external audits.
• Fluent English; Czech language proficiency is highly desirable.
