Technology Engineer – Automation & Robotics

About the role

ABB is looking for a technically‑oriented Technology Engineer to ensure smooth operation and further development of production lines in the ELDS Division in Brno. The role is onsite and suitable for recent graduates eager to work with automation and robotics.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise winding machines and related automated processes.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems in collaboration with production and maintenance teams.
• Analyse root causes of failures and propose technical measures.
• Support PLC systems (Rockwell, Siemens) and assist with modifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting manuals.

Required profile

• University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a related technical field.
• Basic understanding of PLC systems and programming principles.
• Willingness to learn new automation and robotics technologies.
• Active, independent approach with good communication skills in English (Czech optional).

Required skills

• Rockwell PLC diagnostics and programming.
• Siemens PLC diagnostics and programming.
• ABB robot operation and workstation integration.
• Experience with winding machines (linear, toroidal, fully automatic).
• Familiarity with SAP production processes.
