About the role
ABB is looking for a part‑time Associate Designer to support the design unit for instrument transformers and sensors in Brno. The role is ideal for mechanical engineering students (2nd‑4th year) who want to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create and modify technical documentation for instrument transformers.
- Develop 3D product models using CAD tools.
- Work at a PC workstation and visit the production floor to gather necessary information.
- Assist in solving manufacturing problems and provide technical support to the construction team.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a mechanical engineering programme (2nd‑4th year preferred).
- Strong orientation in reading and creating drawing documentation.
- Active, communicative attitude and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Availability for 16–20 hours per week, flexible Monday‑Friday schedule, with increased hours during summer.
Required skills
- SolidWorks (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (advantageous).
