TMS Manager – Cluster East

About the role

As the TMS Manager for Cluster East, you will lead the regional Transport Management Systems team and ensure reliable delivery, support and continuous improvement of TMS solutions across the cluster. The role combines people leadership with hands‑on technology and transport expertise, translating the European TMS strategy into regional priorities while working closely with business and IT stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a regional team of TMS specialists, setting priorities and building future capabilities.
• Implement the European TMS strategy within Cluster East, ensuring adherence to standards, guidelines and processes.
• Build strong relationships between IT and Transport Operations to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Oversee TMS incidents and requests, guaranteeing resolution within agreed service levels.
• Provide hands‑on support for TMS configuration, analysis, reporting, interfaces, documentation and technical advice.
• Act as the regional escalation point for TMS‑related topics.
• Lead or support regional and European TMS projects, delivering on time, within scope and budget.
• Drive process improvements, standardisation and innovation across the TMS landscape.
• Manage team resource planning, performance, development and the regional TMS budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in IT, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant leadership or team‑management experience.
• Strong understanding of transport and logistics processes.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Passion for transport, technology, innovation and digitalisation.

Required skills

• Transport Management Systems (TMS) knowledge.
• SQL and database fundamentals.
• EDI and API integration.
• System interface design.
• Reporting tools (Crystal Reports preferred).
