Payroll Accountant – Czech Republic

About the role

We’re looking for a Payroll Accountant to manage end‑to‑end payroll operations for the Czech Republic and ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with local legislation. The role works closely with HR, Finance and external partners, acting as a trusted payroll expert while driving process improvements and an excellent employee experience. This is a fully office‑based role (5 days per week on‑site).

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute end‑to‑end payroll processing for the Czech Republic.
• Ensure compliance with Czech payroll, tax, and social security regulations.
• Manage payroll inputs including absences, overtime, benefits, and deductions.
• Act as the key contact for employee payroll queries and issue resolution.
• Partner with HR, Finance, payroll vendors, and local authorities.
• Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and system enhancements.
• Prepare statutory filings and payroll reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate payroll processes.

Required profile

• Extensive years of payroll experience.
• End‑to‑end payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of Czech payroll legislation, taxation, and social security requirements.
• Experience working with payroll systems and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Fluent Czech and English.
