Director, Third Party Management

About the role

The Director, Third Party Management leads Johnson & Johnson's global third‑party management program, ensuring consistent, compliant execution across the entire supplier lifecycle. This senior position oversees large, globally distributed teams and partners with Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and other risk functions to drive operational excellence and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the enterprise Third Party Management (TPM) program, establishing governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Own day‑to‑day operational execution across onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, monitoring, issue resolution and off‑boarding, ensuring quality, compliance and service‑level targets.
• Manage a large, globally distributed operations organization, developing capacity and workforce plans aligned with transaction volumes and business demand.
• Oversee third‑party risk identification, remediation and ongoing monitoring, partnering with Compliance, Legal, Privacy, Security and Finance.
• Collaborate with Procurement to embed risk‑based decision‑making throughout the supplier lifecycle and drive process simplification.
• Develop and track KPIs, service levels and operational health metrics, driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, develop and coach a global team of managers and individual contributors, establishing clear accountability and succession plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, Compliance or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in third‑party management, procurement, compliance or risk management, with significant operations leadership.
• Proven experience leading large, globally distributed teams and managing high‑volume, process‑driven services.
• Strong background in both procurement and compliance disciplines and familiarity with regulatory requirements (sanctions, anti‑bribery, AML, privacy).
