Commercial Finance Expert – Discounts & Accruals

About the role

The Commercial Finance Expert – Discounts & Accruals ensures accurate control of discounts, bonuses and pricing disputes while managing accruals, reconciliations and commercial losses. The role supports internal and external client satisfaction and acts as the escalation point for related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts, ERP records, accruals and invoices to guarantee invoicing accuracy and correct accrual bookings.
• Execute month‑end closure, quarterly control and yearly final settlement processes.
• Coordinate with Key Account Managers to align contractual terms in SAP/DeepSea.
• Validate incoming customer invoices against signed contracts and generate corresponding accruals.
• Lead periodic and year‑end customer reconciliations and resolve balance issues with FP&A, Control and Sales teams.
• Identify process gaps, propose efficiency improvements and share best practices across Finance, Sales, Credit & Collection and Master Data functions.

Required profile

• Fluent English; additional French, Dutch, German or Italian is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of finance experience (FP&A, revenue management, dispute management, audit or control) and/or team‑lead experience.
• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills with commercial functions.
