Intellectual Property Counsel

About the role

Accenture is looking for an experienced intellectual property attorney to join its global IP team. The role focuses on IP transactional contracting, open‑source compliance, and supporting a wide range of technology and licensing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to IP and technology transactions, including software licenses and other IP arrangements.
• Lead end‑to‑end reviews of open‑source software use, assessing license risks, export controls, generative AI implications, and security profiles.
• Support the publication of proprietary code under open‑source licenses, coordinating with engineers, business leaders, and IP stakeholders.
• Advise internal stakeholders on IP issues arising in commercial, strategic, and corporate transactions.
• Develop and maintain IP templates, guidance materials, training content, and AI‑enabled tools to reduce legal risk.

Required profile

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IP transactional work conducted in English, either at a law firm, in‑house, or in legal outsourcing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management abilities in a fast‑paced global environment.
