Nuclear Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Nuclear Engineer to join its Czechia team. In this position you will contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of nuclear power projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of nuclear power plant (NPP) vendor designs and Preliminary Safety Analysis Reports (PSAR) for new‑build projects.
• Support owners in licence application development and approval processes.
• Communicate with local regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth licensing.
• Develop optimal design solutions for infrastructure and related scope items.
• Assist owners in organising construction or modernisation projects for NPPs.
• Provide training and coaching to local engineers on NPP technology and nuclear engineering tasks.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Nuclear or Power Engineering.
• Practical experience in the nuclear industry or power‑project environment.
• Familiarity with nuclear legislation, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of NPP or Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technologies is advantageous.
• Experience with NPP siting, construction, commissioning, or interaction with regulatory bodies is a plus.
