Accountant / Senior Accounting Specialist

About the role

Noviko, part of the Covetrus family, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its Finance team and ensure financial accuracy, compliance and continuous process improvement. The role operates in a collaborative, international environment within a modern, digitally focused finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Controlling colleagues to maintain high‑quality financial reporting.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve accounting‑related matters.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities as required.
• Work cross‑functionally with colleagues across the business.
• Identify opportunities to improve, automate and digitalise accounting processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping, accounting principles and VAT requirements.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• English language skills sufficient for day‑to‑day business communication, particularly written.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience working with ERP systems or ability to learn new accounting systems quickly.
• Genuine interest in improving processes through automation and digitalisation.
