Accounts Payable Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to drive excellence within our Global Business Services organization. You will lead a team of AP professionals, ensure compliance, and continuously improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with Global Business Services, Lear entities, and external stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members, supporting their professional development.
• Manage team workload, set priorities, resolve operational challenges, and run regular team meetings.
• Conduct recruitment activities, including interviewing, onboarding, and training new hires.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Drive process improvements and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee month‑end closing, reporting processes, and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Manage vendor and intercompany statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, including SOX testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet service targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Positive, proactive "can‑do" attitude with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous supervisory experience in Accounts Payable is an advantage.
• Relevant education in business administration, accounting or finance.
• Upper‑level English (verbal and written) required; German is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Collaborative team player able to build relationships across diverse functions.
• Flexible, resilient and able to perform in a fast‑paced environment.
