AHU Sales Engineer

About the role

Trane Technologies, a global leader in climate solutions for buildings, homes and transportation, is looking for an AHU Sales Engineer in Prague. The role focuses on engaging with customers and, when not in direct contact with them, collaborating with colleagues in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customer requirements and propose solutions based on site surveys and customer liaison.
• Take personal accountability for the country's sales budget.
• Log and detail all quotations in the system, prepare quotations and monthly sales forecasts.
• Build a customer database, search for potential clients and cultivate new business opportunities.
• Develop customer relationships and business partnerships, and work with the Sales Leader and other equipment sales engineers to build a business plan for the assigned region.
• Collaborate with regional and national colleagues to grow AHU (air handling unit) products in the marketplace and attend sales and technical meetings as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated technical sales experience and deep knowledge of AHU products and the market.
• Engineering degree (e.g. mechanical engineer, HVAC engineer).
• Territory management experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently, about 50% of the time.
• Czech fluency and communicative English.

• Strong technical knowledge of products and solutions, able to identify customer needs.
• Effective sales and negotiation skills.
• High standard of personal presentation.
