Area Sales Manager - Medium Voltage Switchgear

About the role

ABB is looking for an Area Sales Manager in its Medium Voltage Switchgear unit, based in Brno. The position reports to the Product Marketing Team Manager and covers sales across international markets, customer relationship management and the identification of new business opportunities. The model of work is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and represent the ABB brand across assigned international markets
• Identify new customers, business opportunities and leads together with local ABB organizations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and visits
• Represent ABB at trade fairs, exhibitions and industry seminars
• Contribute to the development of the sales strategy and support and execute marketing activities
• Provide technical advice and tailored solutions to customers
• Collaborate with internal teams, especially the Bid Engineering team, on technical and commercial offers
• Monitor market trends and gather competitive intelligence

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant professional experience in the electrical industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Fluent Czech or Slovak
• English at B2 level; additional languages are an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally

• Able to read technical electrical documentation and give technical advice
• Strong commercial thinking and ability to build long-term win-win relationships
• Professional and confident communication skills
