Associate Director, Study Operations, Rater Services

About the role

IQVIA is looking for an Associate Director for Study Operations within its Cronos rater services business in Prague. The Associate Director acts as the principal person in charge (PIC) of Cronos projects, supervising and managing project managers and analysts to ensure delivery, time and quality, and supporting strong financial performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as PIC for Cronos projects, leading them from initiation through closeout
• Oversee project governance and compliance with Cronos and IQVIA policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Manager Analysts, allocating resources and balancing workloads
• Facilitate governance reviews, risk assessments and issue escalation, and act as the main contact for senior management on project status and risks
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables, including financial reconciliation, documentation and archiving
• Provide operational consultation on the Cronos service offering and drive process improvement
• Represent Cronos Study Operations in cross-functional initiatives and support business development such as proposals and client presentations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business or a related field (Master's preferred)
• 7+ years of experience in clinical research, project management or study operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Demonstrated experience in project governance, process improvement and team management

Required skills

• Leadership and people management, with strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Knowledge of project governance, risk management and compliance in clinical research
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; project management tools such as Smartsheet, SAP and SharePoint preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication and stakeholder influence
