CAD Engineer

About the role

Lear, a global automotive technology leader, is looking for a CAD Engineer to join its fast‑growing Engineering Development Center in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The role supports the design and development of seating mechanisms, structures, foams, coatings, plastics and trim components for major European OEMs.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and component designs for plastic, metal and foam parts based on customer and project requirements.
• Prepare 2D component, assembly, layout, packaging and homologation drawings for project and production use.
• Perform DMU checks, packaging studies and concept design activities to support ESI, RFQ and development phases.
• Manage CAD data, documentation and design changes in the PLM system following internal processes.
• Verify legal, comfort, feasibility and customer specification compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in creating and managing CAD models for automotive components.
• Familiarity with PLM environments and change‑management procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering team.
