Category Manager – IT

About the role

As a Category Manager – IT you will design, deploy and continuously evolve global sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software and related services. You will act as a strategic partner to IT, Digital, Finance and Business teams, ensuring performance, cybersecurity, compliance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute multi‑year category strategies for hardware, software, cloud solutions and IT services, aligning with IT roadmaps and cost‑optimisation goals.
• Lead strategic relationships with OEMs, software publishers, cloud providers and service partners, implementing a structured supplier‑relationship‑management framework.
• Support budgeting and long‑range planning for IT spend, challenge demand forecasts and track savings delivery.
• Integrate ESG criteria into supplier selection and monitor sustainability KPIs.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Procurement, IT, Digital or related field.
• 8‑12 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management, preferably in pharma or FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage global suppliers, negotiate complex contracts and lead cross‑functional projects.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
