Demi Chef

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Prague is looking for a Demi Chef to take a more advanced and independent role in the kitchen, supporting the Chef de Partie in delivering high-quality dishes and keeping daily operations running smoothly. The position is full-time, with an expected schedule covering mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, and is offered for an undefined period with a 3-month trial period.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes within your assigned section to the highest standards
• Support the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations
• Take ownership of your station, keeping it organized, ready and efficient
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control during service
• Follow and enforce food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Assist with training and guiding junior team members
• Handle, store and rotate ingredients properly, and contribute to minimizing waste
• Help with kitchen setup, service execution and post-service cleaning
• Look for continuous improvements in quality and workflow

Required profile

• Previous experience as Demi Chef
• Solid understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for a section
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
• Good command of English
• Culinary training or certification is preferred
• Current work authorization in the Czech Republic or an EU passport
