Financial Controller – Cheb, Czech Republic

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee financial operations for the site in Cheb, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective cost management. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role works closely with production, logistics and other departments and will act as a key user for the implementation of a new ERP solution.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of balance‑sheet accounts, statutory reporting and tax packages.
• Monitor and control fixed‑cost management and working‑capital turnover.
• Analyse production and logistics financial performance and provide insights to management.
• Lead forecasting and budgeting processes for the site and recommend corrective actions.
• Support end‑users during the implementation and operation of the new ERP system.
• Coordinate regularly with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and other functions.
• Implement and comply with internal policies, QMS, EMS, health & safety and the corporate code of conduct.
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling or accounting within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Czech financial legislation, tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Ability to analyse production and logistics data and translate it into financial insights.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with cross‑functional teams and senior management.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and adherence to corporate ethics.
