Internship in Risk Management Consulting for Financial Institutions

About the role

Join PwC's Risk Management and Modelling team in Brno as an intern supporting leading Czech and international banks. You will work on a variety of projects that combine qualitative and quantitative risk management, regulatory compliance, ESG, and data‑driven AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Assess credit, market and operational risks affecting banks' capital and liquidity.
• Conduct gap analyses for regulatory compliance across risk areas.
• Analyse client data, create visualisations and support data‑driven insights.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with bank personnel at different levels.
• Study banking regulations and evaluate their impact on specific institutions.
• Assist in preparing client proposals and developing internal tools.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Master’s degree or in the third year of a Bachelor’s in economics, finance/banking, mathematics or econometrics.
• Available to work part‑time at least four days a week.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Reliable, flexible and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel (essential).
• Basic knowledge of SQL, R or Python (advantage).
