Product Quality Engineer (m/w/o)

About the role

Schaeffler is a dynamic global technology company partnering with leading automotive and aerospace manufacturers. As a Product Quality Engineer (PdQ) you will coordinate problem‑solving activities across production sites, development and the Business Unit, supporting all quality‑related topics associated with product design and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure and coordinate problem‑solving activities with production sites, development and the Business Unit.
• Support quality‑related topics linked to product design and the manufacturing concept.
• Monitor product quality performance with customers and production sites, driving improvements for any defects.
• Maintain effective customer communication and transparent quality reporting for relevant KPIs.
• Consolidate and review deviation costs, supporting multi‑site change initiatives.
• Initiate preventive and corrective actions based on analysis of 0 km, field and production failures.
• Coordinate risk assessments for design deviations and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Actively support claim management and ensure compliance with legal, customer‑specific and internal quality requirements.

Required profile

• Czech language proficiency is mandatory.
• University degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial) or equivalent professional experience.
• Many years of experience in quality management, quality assurance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of quality methods and tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, Six Sigma, SPC, MSA).
• Proficiency in problem‑solving techniques (Ishikawa, 5 Why, Fault Tree Analysis, A3) and risk management.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, IAG standards and customer‑specific requirements.
• Experience in change management, project management and industrial engineering.
• In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, testing, validation and reliability testing.
