Project Engineer

About the role

Lear is seeking a Project Engineer to join its fast‑growing Engineering Development Center in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The role supports the design and development of automotive seating mechanisms, structures, foams, coatings, plastics, and trim components, acting as a bridge between customer requirements and internal capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to capture technical requirements, set expectations, and agree on project timelines.
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets.
• Analyze technical documentation and drawings to aid implementation and resolve issues.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to senior managers and customers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Europe to ensure effective cross‑location cooperation.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in the automotive industry or a comparable technical engineering role.
• Strong orientation toward engineering documentation and technical details.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Proactive communication style and ability to interact directly with customers.
• Fluent English for internal and external communication.
