Sales Specialist - High-Voltage Electrical Engineering

About the role

ABB is looking for a Sales Specialist to join its Sales department in Prague and strengthen its technical support for customers. The role suits someone focused on high-voltage electrical engineering, providing technical and commercial support mainly to electrical designers in the Czech market. It reports to the Commercial Director.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the existing customer base in the developer segment, mainly Prague and Central Bohemia, and proactively seek new customers and build long-term relationships
• Use company tools and software to specify technical solutions for projects
• Provide pre-sales support: technical consultations, proposals, revisions and recommendations
• Work from the Prague office with an occasional home-office option
• Take part in regular commercial and technical meetings
• Influence order volume by supporting electrical designers, even when orders come through distributors and LV switchgear manufacturers
• Coordinate with the existing sales team during meetings with designers, preparation of technical project solutions and closing deals

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; electrical engineering education is an advantage
• Interest in technology and ability to explain technical topics to electrical-sector developers
• Fluent Czech; basic English (most technical documentation is in English)
• Willingness to travel throughout the Czech Republic
• Independence, good presentation skills and a proactive approach to winning customers
