Senior Backend Engineer, Billing

About the role

Apify is building a world‑class ecosystem for creators to publish, monetize and grow their AI‑driven Actors. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Billing team you will own end‑to‑end features that power payouts, subscriptions and the emerging agentic payment economy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs for billing, payouts and subscription management.
• Own features from discovery through production, shipping in two‑week sprints and deploying daily.
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional team to ensure reliability, scalability and performance of the billing infrastructure.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building backend systems and APIs.
• Strong debugging skills in TypeScript/Node.js or ability to learn TypeScript quickly.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and a passion for staying up‑to‑date with AI trends.
• Excellent English communication and a collaborative, experiment‑driven mindset.
