Senior Commodity Buyer

About the role

As a Senior Commodity Buyer you will manage the purchasing of Customer Options (CO) components for our sites in Stříbro, Český Krumlov and Šenov u Nového Jičína. The CO portfolio covers driver‑cab components such as windscreens and seats, as well as lifting equipment like masts and accessories. You will work within a global company and collaborate closely with a European purchasing team and a local interdisciplinary group.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage operational purchasing of CO components, assemblies and solutions.
• Conduct supplier market analyses and run RFQs according to technical specifications.
• Prepare supplier selection, award decisions and place purchase orders.
• Set delivery dates, monitor order confirmations and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Lead negotiations on delivery conditions, quality and pricing.
• Support regulatory compliance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop the supplier base together with the Head of Customer Options and Site Procurement.
• Implement category strategies to meet targets for delivery, quality, cost and innovation.
• Act as liaison between suppliers and Engineering/Quality on technical issues.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and manage supply‑related crises.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional purchasing experience, preferably as a Commodity Buyer in material handling, construction, agricultural machinery, automotive Tier 1 or a similarly demanding industrial environment.
