Senior Software Engineer - Backend - Billing Team

About the role

Restream is looking for a Backend Engineer to solve complex challenges and build world‑class products. You will develop new features, design and implement services, and improve system reliability as the product scales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features in Restream web services.
• Design and implement backend APIs and business logic for new and existing features.
• Give and receive code‑review feedback with the team.
• Stay aware of emerging technologies and uncover hidden opportunities.
• Ensure redundancy and resilience of Restream production infrastructure.

Required profile

• A scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude that delivers high‑quality projects quickly.
• Expertise in at least one general‑purpose programming language.
• Node.js (TypeScript) or Rust is a plus.
• Highly proficient in database design, both relational and NoSQL (Scylla, Redis).
• Experience creating, testing, consuming, and supporting APIs for web services.
• Comfortable with AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous‑deployment workflows.
• Basic front‑end skills; modern front‑end frameworks are a plus.
