Accountant – Finance Team (Brno)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Brno. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day bookkeeping, VAT compliance and financial reporting for a growing multi‑market e‑commerce operation, working closely with management on cash flow, payables, receivables and month‑end close.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping in line with Czech accounting standards.
• Process invoices, expense claims, bank reconciliations and payment runs.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, control statements and intra‑EU filings (OSS, EC Sales List).
• Support month‑end and year‑end close, including accruals and reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors and authorities as needed.
• Help improve internal financial processes, tools and documentation.
• Provide clear, timely financial reports and insights to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, preferably in e‑commerce, wholesale or trading.
• Strong knowledge of Czech accounting standards and VAT rules, including cross‑border and intra‑EU transactions.
• Fluent Czech and working proficiency in English.
• High level of accuracy, discretion and structured thinking.
• Bonus: experience with OSS, import/export or multi‑currency accounting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Pohoda, Money, Helios or ABRA.
• Advanced Excel skills.
