Accountant

About the role

Quadient is seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with Czech accounting and tax regulations, and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will collaborate with local and international stakeholders to deliver timely and reliable financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries in line with local GAAP and company policies.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with statutory reporting, VAT returns, tax filings and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with Czech accounting regulations and internal controls.
• Support cash‑management and treasury activities as needed.
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Procurement and other internal teams.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and accounting system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, general ledger or financial reporting.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of Czech accounting standards; IFRS experience is a plus.
• Fluent in Czech and proficient in English.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong Excel skills.
