Accounts Receivable Clerk

About the role

Augustine Hotel Prague, part of Kempinski, is preparing for its next chapter with a prestigious international luxury hotel brand and is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join its Finance team. The role keeps financial records accurate, ensures timely invoicing and payment collection, and builds professional relationships with guests, clients and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices on time, following guest check-out
• Manage accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances and collect payments
• Maintain guest and company account records, including City Ledger transactions and aging reports
• Review credit applications, verify creditworthiness and support credit limit management
• Monitor guest credit limits and work with the Front Office team on follow-up
• Record daily payments and allocate them correctly
• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable and control accounts
• Review group, event and catering billing, and investigate billing discrepancies and disputed charges
• Prepare statements of outstanding accounts and follow up on pending payments and deposits
• Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and work with Front Office, Sales, Events and Finance teams

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting or a similar finance role, preferably in hospitality
• Good understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, reconciliations and credit control
• Strong attention to detail, good organization and confidence with financial data and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, diplomatic approach to payment issues
• Proactive, solution-oriented and collaborative, willing to learn and develop

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting or hotel management systems
