Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

Augustine Hotel, Prague, which is preparing to join a prestigious international luxury hotel brand, is looking for an Assistant Director of Finance to join its leadership team. You will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency and compliance with the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director of Finance in overseeing daily financial and accounting operations
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end closing
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis
• Maintain compliance with local legislation, tax regulations, corporate policies and financial procedures
• Support and develop the Finance team through coaching, training and leadership
• Collaborate with department heads on informed financial decisions and improvement opportunities
• Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and financial records
• Contribute to implementing financial standards and processes during the hotel's transformation

Required profile

• Previous experience in a senior accounting or finance position, ideally in a luxury hotel
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and Czech financial regulations
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Confidence in leading, motivating and developing a team
• Professional proficiency in English
