Assistant Professor – Accounting, Auditing & Taxation

About the role

The Faculty of Economics and Administration at Masaryk University seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor to develop a research agenda and teach undergraduate and master courses in accounting, auditing and taxation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in reputable international peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in and initiate research projects, including preparation of external grant applications.
• Teach bachelor’s and master’s courses in both English and Czech (8‑12 contact hours per week).
• Supervise and examine bachelor’s and master’s theses.
• Contribute to curriculum design and integrate current industry developments into teaching.

Required profile

• PhD in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation or Finance.
• Relevant academic and research experience with a developing or established publication record.
• Ability to teach and communicate effectively in both Czech and English.
• Experience or potential in preparing research grant applications.
• Active links with professional practice and interest in faculty development.
