Automation Engineering Lead (m/f/x)

About the role

Mondelēz is looking for an Automation Engineering Lead to join its largest biscuit factory in Europe in Opava, which has 16 production lines and more than 1,200 employees. You will lead a team of engineering professionals and help them grow their capabilities in automation, digitalization and standard engineering, while leading projects that bring new technologies and smarter ways of working to the manufacturing site. The position is temporary (fixed term) and is designed as a succession role.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the Automation/Digitalization Engineering Group, CZ Cluster, foster collaboration and standardize best practices
• Build a talent pool for Regional Engineering and support the plant in achieving 5% year-on-year productivity growth through benchmarking, automation and digitalization
• Manage the technology catalogue, automation roadmap, productivity and growth projects, and project CAPEX
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from idea to implementation, with a focus on automation, digitalization and productivity improvement
• Own the financial side of engineering projects
• Ensure high standards in safety, compliance and operational quality

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing a team
• Previous experience in automation, digitalization and/or standard engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration
• Fluent English
