Commissioning Engineer (High-Voltage Switchgear)

About the role

ABB's Global Solution Center in Brno is looking for a commissioning specialist / electrical engineer to test high-voltage switchgear and put them into operation. The position reports to the Quality and Field Service Manager and welcomes junior candidates, who will be trained on the job. Travel is possible.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and test high-voltage switchgear, protection terminals, inverters, BMS and HVAC systems
• Put these systems into operation in production or at the customer site
• Create configurations for switchgear protection terminals
• Configure and test communication
• Test, diagnose and maintain protections in operation
• Prepare test reports

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree (high-voltage electrotechnics, energy, automation, etc.); also suitable for graduates
• English at a slightly advanced level
• Category B driving licence
• Flexibility, independence, precision, results and customer focus, willingness to travel and to learn
