Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer who is passionate about data and eager to build robust data solutions for the pharmaceutical domain. You will join an AI & Data team focused on AI, GenAI, and cutting‑edge drug development processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that move data from diverse sources into data lakes and warehouses.
• Implement data transformation rules and create data models to support analytics and machine‑learning workflows.
• Collaborate with product analysts, data scientists, and ML engineers to make data accessible and meaningful.
• Ensure data quality, maintain data catalogs, and use orchestration, logging, and monitoring tools.
• Apply test‑driven development and version‑control best practices (Git).

Required profile

• Strong expertise with Databricks and core AWS services (S3, IAM, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
• Hands‑on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and using orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot (or willingness to upskill quickly).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
