Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while driving internal cost efficiency and strategic analysis to support overall business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Control business financial costs and align reporting practices with internal standards (The Way We Do Things).
• Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment to protect assets and identify efficiency gains.
• Prepare and present functional cost analyses, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Produce operational, financial, and performance reports; standardize reporting packages such as Sustain reporting.
• Oversee period‑end closing, reconciliations, and balance‑sheet analysis, flagging issues and coordinating corrective actions.
• Support monthly score‑card packages, variance analysis (YoY, MoM) and ad‑hoc reporting.
• Contribute to Board pack presentations, future organizational planning, and internal/external audits.
• Assist Business Controllers and Shared Services with daily operational control and follow‑up.
• Drive the creation and standardisation of reports on project spend, travel spend, and other cost categories.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably with leadership exposure.
• Solid understanding of F&A processes and sound accounting knowledge.
• Strong people and project management capabilities with a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and a sharp analytical mindset.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Familiarity with Atlas Copco’s internal policies and a commitment to apply them daily.
• Self‑driven, curious, critical thinker with a strong sense of ownership.
• Motivated to deliver results in an international environment and open to occasional travel.
