Fullstack Engineer, Store

About the role

Apify is looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join the Discovery team, responsible for the Store where users and AI agents find the right tool. You will work across the stack, shaping search, recommendation and categorisation experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve Store search relevance, ranking and query understanding.
• Integrate and experiment with recommender systems to surface relevant Actors.
• Develop Store front‑end components in React/TypeScript (search results, category pages, listings).
• Implement backend scoring services, quality‑evaluation pipelines and data processes that keep the catalog accurate.
• Run A/B experiments to measure impact on activation and retention.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience building full‑stack web applications and shipping user‑facing features.
• Strong ability to own a problem end‑to‑end, from UI to backend services and data pipelines.
• Experiment‑driven mindset using A/B tests and metrics for decision‑making.
• Good communication skills in English and collaborative approach with product, design and data teams.

Required skills

• TypeScript, React, Node.js, Nest.js, Next.js.
• AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda), Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm.
• MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, GitHub Actions.
• Experience with search, ranking or recommender systems is a plus.
