Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Junior Accountant to support our Senior Accountant during a period of transformation. The role involves multi‑entity accounting, month‑end and year‑end close, and participation in business‑critical projects while working remotely with occasional onsite days in Brno.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes across several international entities.
• Prepare VAT calculations and reports for multiple European subsidiaries.
• Process accounts payable, supplier invoices, employee expenses and cash‑book transactions.
• Handle bank and credit‑card statement reconciliation and booking.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Produce aging reports, balance‑sheet reconciliations and statistical reports.
• Support audit queries and prepare sample documentation.
• Collaborate on Czech annual reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Pro‑active, delivery‑driven attitude with a tenacious approach to problem solving.
• Curious and eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast‑changing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain General Ledger accuracy.
• Effective communication skills to support cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience with VAT preparation and filing.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processing and expense management.
• Familiarity with bank statement reconciliation.
• Understanding of fixed‑asset accounting and depreciation.
• Ability to produce balance‑sheet and aging reports.
