Local IT Operations Specialist (CZ/SK)

About the role

Devoteam, a technology consulting firm focused on AI-led transformation, is looking for a reliable, hands-on Local IT Operations Specialist (CZ/SK) to join its internal IT team full-time in Prague. The role combines about 70% daily onsite IT support for the Prague office with about 15% each of leading the internal IT team across Prague, Ostrava and Bratislava, and providing technical leadership for complex issues.

Key responsibilities

• Be the primary onsite point of contact for user support in the Prague office.
• Deploy, configure and maintain user hardware (laptops, phones, monitors, printers, peripherals) on Windows, macOS/iOS and Android.
• Maintain meeting rooms, Google Meet/AV equipment and support internal events and all-hands meetings.
• Administer the local office network (Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and keep hardware asset records in ServiceNow (DevoWay).
• Lead and coordinate the DVT Alps internal IT team, run weekly syncs and retrospectives, and manage onsite/remote coverage schedules.
• Oversee the ticket queue, SLA/OLA compliance and team performance in ServiceNow (DevoWay), and manage onboarding, offboarding, access rights and training.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex hardware, OS or networking issues and standardise internal IT procedures.
• Administer local IT infrastructure and management consoles (Ubiquiti, Sophos Central, Ivanti MDM/Neurons, sandbox servers).

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk operations or systems/network administration, ideally coordinating a small team or service desk.
• Fluent Czech or Slovak (mandatory for daily onsite communication).
• English at B2+ level, written and spoken.
• Availability to work full-time primarily onsite in Prague.

Required skills

• Windows, iOS/macOS and Android administration and troubleshooting.
• Networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points, VPN, Wi-Fi, Ubiquiti).
• Endpoint management and security tools such as Ivanti MDM and Sophos Central.
