Local Security Officer – Central Europe & Germany

About the role
As a Local Security Officer for Central Europe and Germany, you will support AXA Partners’ security strategy across multiple locations, ensuring information, operational and physical security. You will act as a trusted partner to local, regional and global stakeholders, helping protect people, assets and business continuity.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Group Security Governance, Regional Security Officers and key stakeholders to align security controls.
- Support implementation of the AXA Partners Group Security Strategy and embed security into business processes.
- Provide expert guidance on security policies, controls, shared services and improvement initiatives.
- Identify, assess and manage security risks, recommending mitigation measures and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Drive security governance, ownership, personnel security requirements and awareness programmes.
- Lead continuous‑improvement activities such as audits, compliance monitoring, issue resolution and best‑practice sharing.
- Monitor, manage and escalate security incidents with appropriate reporting and auditability.
- Prepare and present security reports to local, regional and global governance committees.
- Foster a strong security culture and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- Experience in information security, IT risk management, security auditing or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, DORA, GDPR, NIST, SANS CSC).
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISACA or SANS/GIAC are preferred.
- Analytical, problem‑solving mindset with risk‑based approach.
- Experience in security awareness, stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
- Fluent English (C1) and fluent Czech or Polish; German is a plus.
- Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred.
