Principal Engineer, Systems Integrator (DevOps)

About the role

Mavenir, a cloud-native network software provider serving communications service providers, is hiring a Principal Engineer, Systems Integrator (DevOps) in Brno. The role plans, designs, develops and tests software systems and applications, including cloud-based and internet-related tools, and acts as a technical partner for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and integration by organizing product components and microservices into robust VM and/or Kubernetes solutions across cloud and telecom infrastructures.
• Troubleshoot deeply: analyse logs, identify errors and resolve complex issues to ensure optimal performance, cooperating closely with other departments.
• Research and adapt ideas to build robust platform and customised solutions for the product and its customers.
• Support customers with strong technical knowledge of the product and platforms, and provide technical customer support.
• Collaborate with a team, share knowledge, document solutions and foster a positive, motivating environment.
• Support product integration in different Kubernetes environments and ensure robust CI/CD automation.
• Contribute actively to internal and customer projects and act as a role model with efficient, proactive and structured communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years in a similar position, with a solid foundation in software product integration.
• Strong analytical skills, creative thinking and the ability to solve complex problems independently.
• Flexibility and proactivity in supporting internal or customer projects, willingness to learn new skills, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in multi-organisation teams and to be a strong team player.

Required skills

• Expertise in Kubernetes and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as OCP, Robin IO, MWP, AWS, AKS and AON.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, Kafka, and Bash and Python scripting.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (GitHub, Jira, Jenkins) is essential.
